We are pleased to announce the winner in the Support Category of the RNZRSA Volunteer of the Year Awards for 2023 is John Hannan.
John has been the Local Support Advisor for the Porirua RSA for seven years, and has been a District Support Advisor for the Wellington Region for four.
He is a fierce advocate for the veterans in his area, refusing to take no for an answer and fighting to ensure they receive the support they are entitled to. He does it all, from making sure lawns are mowed, hospital appointments are kept, food is in the cupboards and veterans living on their own are kept in contact with.
Congratulations John - and thank you for your selfless efforts supporting New Zealand's veterans of military service and their whānau.
