We are pleased to announce that Stephen Hunt has been appointed as the new District Support Manager (DSM) for Wellington, West Coast, Taranaki.
Steve joins us with a wealth of experience in the private sector including delivering regional services, and Human Resources management, on top of several years volunteering as a local support advisor for the RSA, and a 26-year career in the Royal New Zealand Navy.
Steve brings with him a passion for supporting veterans and is looking forward to being part of a team collectively working to provide support to veterans, service personnel and their families.
We are incredibly fortunate to have 50% of the funding for this role covered by a grant from the Ministry of Social Development, with the remaining 50% pledged by a number of RSAs across Wellington, most notably the Wellington RSA.
The RSA now has paid DSMs in both Auckland and Wellington, which underlines the importance of the roles of the DSMs in the regions and demonstrates our renewed commitment to veteran support.
