The RNZRSA's Board

The RNZRSA National Board provides the governance and strategic leadership that underpins the organisation’s work across Aotearoa New Zealand. Acting on behalf of the membership, the Board is responsible for setting the long-term direction of the RNZRSA, establishing policy, and ensuring the organisation remains focused on its core purpose of supporting veterans and their whānau. It oversees organisational performance, financial sustainability, and risk management, while safeguarding the values, reputation, and integrity of the RSA.

Working closely with the National Office, the Board does not manage day-to-day operations but instead provides clear direction and accountability for delivery against agreed priorities. It also maintains a strong connection with the wider membership through engagement with the Presidents’ Forum, ensuring that national decisions are informed by grassroots perspectives. In this way, the Board plays a vital role in balancing strategic leadership with member representation, helping to ensure the RNZRSA remains relevant, resilient, and effective into the future.
