Thanks to all of our Poppy Appeal volunteers.
It's been a busy few weeks for us here at the RSA. Poppy Appeal and Anzac Day are two of our biggest and most important events of the year. This is a real team effort, and willingness of all those who have made our 95th Poppy Appeal a success.
I'd like to take a moment to show my appreciation of all involved - thank you to every single RSA for their hard work, organisation and passion; to RSA National Office staff for their continued commitment and dedication, and to the many members of the public who donated time, money and effort in order to support the 2017 Poppy Appeal. Were also very grateful for our Poppy Appeal partner organisations.
We couldn't do it without all of you.
100% of funds raised during the Poppy Appeal help our current and former servicemen and women and their families. If you need help, or want to know more about what the RSA does, contact your local RSA or visit our website: www.rsa.org.nz/support.
Tomorrow, RSAs and their communities will be holding 246 Anzac Day Services all across New Zealand. Together, we’ll make sure all of our service men and women are acknowledged: those fallen, those passed, and the 41,000 who have served and returned and are with us still.
Thanks again, and let the planning for 2018 begin.
BJ Clark, RNZRSA National President
