Social Media Community Guidelines
It's so important to us that our social media communities are self, warm and welcoming for everyone who visits - just like an RSA! We've developed these "house rules" to ensure everyone is happy.
We champion the Anzac values of courage, compassion, commitment and comradeship and we encourage everyone here to keep these values in mind when posting.
We will remove:
• violent, obscene, profane, hateful, suggestive, racist, or sexist comments and content, as well as those which cause offence, while respecting the right to fair and open discussion/feedback
• comments that threaten or defame a person or organisation or which include excessive swearing or discuss illegal activity
• solicitations or advertisements that go against our brand guidelines or values
• any violations of copyright or intellectual property
• comments and posts that go against the Facebook rules, terms and conditions
Users who do not follow these Community Guidelines will be blocked by the RSA National Office Facebook page at our discretion. National Office staff have the right to remove any other types of content we feel puts the forum at risk. If you have concerns about content posted to this Facebook page by other Facebook community members, please get in touch.
You can contact us at email@example.com or give us a call on 04 384 7994.
RNZRSA Official Contest Rules
All Contests are brought to you by the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association and will be governed by these rules (“Official Contest Rules”). Each Contest is open to legal residents of New Zealand not prohibited by law. Any Entrants from outside of New Zealand must be able to supply a New Zealand address in the event they are successful in winning the contest and a prize must be sent. Entrants must be 18 years or old and have a valid Facebook account that does not go against any of the Facebook rules, terms or conditions. Entrants must comply with the RNZRSA Community Guidelines, which can be found on the RSA National Facebook Page and website. We have the right to verify the eligibility of each Entrant at any stage in the contest. Employees, Local RSA Executive and Committee members, Directors, Board members, Officers and Principals of the RNZRSA National Office are not eligible to participate.
2. How to enter
You can enter a Contest through our Facebook Page. The requirements for entry will be described in the Facebook Post announcing the contest. Entrants must complete all required actions in order to participate in the Contest. After performing the required actions, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the draw.
The information submitted with your Contest entry will only be used by the RNZRSA National Office for the purpose of administering the contents and communicating with our Facebook community. Images, comments, links and other Facebook content shared with the National Office Facebook Page may be used further on the Facebook Page for promotional and publicity purposes and by sharing content, entrants agree to such use. Permission will be asked if content is to be used for commercial purposes.
4. Promotion period
The dates which each Contest starts and ends will be included in the original Contest post. If no start date is included, the start date is the date on which the Contest is posted. The end date may be the date and time the Contest winner is drawn. The Contest requirements must be completed by the date or time specified. Limit one entry per person.
5. Selection of Winners
The RNZRSA National Office shall select all winners by random, drawing from all eligible entries. Winner(s) will be notified via Facebook and are responsible for monitoring his/her Facebook account for prize notification and receipt of any communications or prize related to the Contest. Unless expressly stated in our Contest announcement, if these rules differ from any promotional or other materials published in connection with a Contest, these rules shall control. Winners will be notified through Facebook within 48 hours of the Contest being drawn. The RNZRSA reserves the right to redraw the Winner(s) of any contest if they do not respond to notifications and/or claim prize within three (3) days of drawing, or if they break either the RNZRSA Contest Rules, Facebook rules, terms and conditions, or the RNZRSA National Office Facebook Page community rules. No cash alternative or substitution of any prizes will be offered. No prize transfer is permitted. Limit one prize per person per contest.
Prizes are of nominal value. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules, and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Contest Rules and which may be associated with the Contest or prize are solely the responsibility of the respective prize Winner. By entering or engaging with any contests you automatically agree to the terms set forth in the rules. Facebook is neither a sponsor nor an affiliate of any Contest.
By participating, each Entrant grants us permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
